He was preceded in death by his parents Cornelius and Edna Green; brothers Jack, William, Thomas, Patrick, and Timothy Green; and sisters Patricia Green, Geraldine Lindeman, and Janice Luig.
Jerry was born on April 6, 1936 in Conway Springs, Kansas. Because of his father's career in the oil fields, his family moved throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, before settling in Windthorst, Texas where he spent most of his early life. Upon graduating high school, he joined St. John's Seminary, before recognizing that God was calling him to another path. He graduated from St. Mary's University with a B.S. in Mathematics in 1963. On April 11, 1964 he married the love of his life, Loraine Marie Levis. Together they raised their four beloved children Lisa, Linda, Laura and Martin Jr.

Jerry greatly enjoyed swimming in his pool, and spent countless hours doing so with his children and grandchildren. He also relished in cheering them on in their various sports. He also loved hunting, fishing, playing Sudoku and Pitch, and traveling. Some of his favorite trips were to Ireland to celebrate his ret, Grand Canyon (40 th ), Panama Canal, Hawaii. Some of Jerry's most cherished memories were of the many Green family reunions around the country, and the time spent with his siblings, nieces, and nephews. Jerry was hard working in all his endeavors, gentle in nature, and enjoyed having a good time with his friends and family.
