June 7, 2023, Mrs. Martha B. Vasquez, 89, of San Antonio, TX returned home to join her Lord and Savior as well as her beloved husband, deceased family members and many loving friends. Within her final days, she was cared for and surrounded by family members who were fortunate enough to be loved by her, guided and protected by her faith and shared in her light.

She was known to many as a strong and independent woman. Those who knew and loved her most would even say stubborn, though stubborn in the best of ways. She was a devoted wife, nurturing mother and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She walked by faith and led with a servant's heart helping restore her community and preserve the value she believed it held. She will always be known to her loved ones as the strongest of fighters and the gentlest of hearts.

She is survived by her son, Robert B. Vasquez and daughter-in-law Yvonne Vasquez, daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Noel de la Peña; daughter, Monica B. Vasquez; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Sabrina and Mike Abel; granddaughters: Marissa and Kristina de la Peña; great-granddaughters: Kyleigh Zuniga and Emmalyn Abel; sisters-in-law: Mrs. Marie Benavidez, Mrs. Rosa Elia Machado, and Mrs. Yolanda Wilburn as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
