Obituary

Marianne (Maria Anna) Aschenbrenner Rouse went to her eternal reward Thursday, July 31, 2014 after a short illness and 100 years on this earth. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Rouse, and son-in-law, Norman Sears, her parents, George W. and Katherine A. Aschenbrenner, and siblings Dolores, Geraldine, Rev. George F., Agnes Barbara, Herbert, Helen, Rita, and Robert. She is survived by her sister Angela (Lewis) Ambrose and is the mother of Richard G. (Veronica) Rouse, M.D., Maribeth Sears, Kathy (James) Incalcaterra, Barbara (Michael) Kujawa and Thomas (Mary D.) Rouse, M.D., and 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Marianne grew up and married in Chicago; raised her family in Hammond, Indiana and retired in Houston. She and Dick, in their 70's, built a house mostly by themselves in Alpine, Texas. They lived there for 17 years with the sunsets of the Davis Mountains. They had the privilege to reside at Incarnate Word Retirement Community (IWRC), at San Antonio, Texas for the last 13 years. Visitation will be at The Angelus Funeral Home, Thursday, August 7th from 6 to 8 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Requiem Mass will be offered on Friday, August 8th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Chapel, 7815 Orland Park, San Antonio, Texas, with Rev. Stephen Zigrang as celebrant. There will be a visitation beginning at 9 AM Friday in the church. Burial will follow at 11:30 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family thanks all the doctors, nurses and the staff of IWRC who have cared for Marianne for many years. In lieu of flowers, a donation might be made to the American Red Cross or The Society of St. Pius X at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Chapel or a charity of your choice.
