Maria Consuelo Reyes born on November 8, 1921 in Nueva Rosita Coah., Mexico to Aucelanio Ramos and Aurelia Ramos-Cardona. Maria had no formal education as she was the oldest and care taker of her 17 siblings. Maria worked in Del Rio, Texas at an attorney's office. She made her way to San Antonio where she met and married Alfredo Reyes on March 18, 1948. She made arrangements to bring her 8 year old sister to the United States, nine years later she brought over her niece and raised both girls. While in San Antonio she found her calling as a seamstress. For many years she worked at Tex-Sun, a clothing manufacturing company. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Alfredo; both parents and most of her siblings. She is survived by her only son Roland Reyes and wife Rosalie; two granddaughters Rhiannon and Rebecca and one great-granddaughter Sonora Gruene Reyes; sister, Rosa Elva Lopez Sanchez and numerous nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICES Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 2, at 4:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, December 3, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
