With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved aunt, sister, and great aunt, Maria de Lourdes (Lou) Cepeda, who departed this life on July 18, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.

Born on February 9, 1945, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, to Bonifacio and Candelaria Cepeda, she moved at an early age to San Antonio, Texas, where she would make her home and spend the rest of her life surrounded by family and love.

She was a woman of quiet strength, deep devotion, and endless generosity. She cherished her family deeply and found great joy in being both an aunt and great-aunt to many.

She is survived by her loving niece Juana Alicia Macias; her brothers Alberto Cepeda, Enrique Cepeda, and Roberto Cepeda; and her sister Juany Cepeda. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
