Maria Ester Garcia transitioned into God's Kingdom on April 1, 2025, at the age of 74, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Epimenio and Emilia Felan, and her half-brother, Manuel Felan. Maria leaves behind her loving husband of 34 years, Catarino Garcia; supportive half-sisters, Amelia Wilber and Hope (Ronnie) Sanchez; her devoted children, Carolyn (Angela Williams) Molina, Rudy (Mary Jane) Molina, and John Richard (Melissa) Molina; stepchildren, Roger Garcia, Rachel Garcia, and Mary Susan Rice; cherished grandchildren, Emily Molina, Jacob Molina, Gabriel Williams, and Savanna (Willie) Fellows; step-grandchildren, Mark Anthony Garcia, Nayomi Garcia, Joseph Ryan Rodriguez, Matthew Rodriguez, Sammy Rodriguez, Jade Williams, and Jonathon Williams; great-grandchildren, Jose Rudolph Moreno and Mia Jane Moreno; and countless nieces, cousins, and friends.
Maria dedicated her career to helping others as a medical billing and collection specialist, but her true passion was sharing her life with her husband and nurturing her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; beloved dog, Angel; and a recent addition of stray kittens, Bella and Pepper.
Maria's commitment to staying connected with family and friends showcased her unyielding support and generosity. Her warmth and kindness embodied a loving and compassionate spirit that touched everyone around her. She cherished her family unconditionally, always prioritizing them and ensuring they heard and felt "I love you" in every conversation and with every goodbye embrace. Her radiant smile, wonderful sense of humor, and contagious laugh made all our time and every family celebration that much more joyous and memorable. In challenging times, she was the ultimate listener, offering encouraging words and comforting heartfelt hugs. Her memory and legacy will live on in the hearts and souls of those who love her.
Maria's diverse hobbies included decorating her home for various celebrations and holidays; creating stunning floral arrangements and wreaths; greenhouse and flower-bed gardening; and painting and customizing birdhouses for friends and family, a beautiful bond she shared with her husband, Catarino.
The Garcia and Molina families express their deepest gratitude to her ICU nurses, Gracie and Steven, and ER nurse, Faith, at Methodist TexSan Hospital for their extraordinary love, compassion, and tireless dedication to keeping Maria comfortable.
