Maria Luisa Cadena born in Agualeguas, Mexico passed away on March 8, 2018 in San Antonio.  She married Andres Cerda on November 27, 1943 and was a devoted wife and mother of 5 children.  Maria Luisa was a devoted and active parishioner in the places she lived, such as St. Casper's Church in Ohio, Nuestro Senora del Refugio in Roma, Texas and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in San Antonio.  Her devotion to God, husband and children was a model for all and will continue to be so through those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andres Cerda and a son, Andres Cerda Jr.  She is survived by her children:  Jose E. Marie Cerda, Artemisa Cerda, Simon Cerda, Daniel Cerda; numerous grandchildren and other family members.

Visitation will begin Sunday at 5:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M.

Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.  Entombment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No.3.
