Margarito Ortiz Jr. was summoned by our Lord on March 24th, 2015 at the age of 65. He was born in San Antonio on September 6th, 1949 to Margarito and Lilia Ortiz Sr. Margarito will be remembered as a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He gave unselfishly of his time and effort to his family, friends and church. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria G. Ortiz, father Margarito Ortiz Sr., father in law Robert A. Govea, grandparents Florentin and Petra Capetillo, Ezequiel Ortiz, Reyes Ortiz-Trevino and Justo Trevino, brother Ezequiel Ortiz Sr. Margarito is survived by his children Christopher, Amanda & Matthew Ortiz, Grandson Zayden Kaine Ortiz, Mother Lilia Ortiz, sisters Janie and Yolanda Perez, mother in law Socorro L. Govea, brothers in law David and Tony Perez, sisters in law Sylvia, Hilda & Sonya Govea, nephew Ezequiel Ortiz Jr and close dear friends Tina Nieto, Dan & Cindy Sosa, Margaret Weese; and numerous, too many to mention, friends & acquaintances whose lives he has touched. He will be missed dearly by all who have met him, and associated with him, because of his kindness. Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 2, at 6:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 3, at 9:30 A.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
