Our beloved mother, Margarita (Maggie) Perez, was born on April 1st 1932 and passed away on February 19, 2024. She is joined in heaven with her loving husband of 63 years Guillermo (Willie) Perez. She was also preceded in death by her great-grandson Justice Quiroga.
Maggie was a very strong and independent woman throughout her life. Fiercely loyal and protective of her family at all costs. Maggie was self-employed for many years owning several restaurants and other businesses, always working, along with our father to make sure her children never wanted for anything. The greatest joys in her life were all the family functions where all her children and grandchildren were gathered around. She loved cooking for everyone, and loved seeing us all together.
She is survived by her sister, Henrietta Perez, her children: Mary De Los Santos, Sylvia Pridmore (Nick), Elsa Quiroga (Hank), Joseph William Perez (Nora), grandchildren: Freddie, Sara, John, Natalie, Marques, Danielle, Henry, Megan, Crystal and Alvin; 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, and numerous family and friends.
We would like to thank the staff at Christus Hospice for their assistance with her care. We would also like to express our gratitude to Alvin and his wife, Jacquelyn for welcoming her into their home for her final days where she could spend this time with her family, as she wanted. Special thanks also to Crystal, who along with Jacquelyn provided around the clock care for her, making her final hours as comfortable as possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Maggie will be deeply missed by us all and will forever be in our hearts and thoughts.
