Obituary

Margaret R. Treviño was born on July 20, 1921 in San Antonio to Eutimio Ramirez and Monica Muñoz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Treviño and her sons, John Anthony and baby Jorge.  Margaret is survived by her daughter, Sister Mary John Treviño, MCDP (Missionary Catechists of Divine Providence), and her sister, Consuelo Corona, and granddaughter Jennifer.

Margaret was a graduate of Brackenridge High School in San Antonio. She dedicated her time to her children throughout their school years volunteering as a den-mother and room-mother. Soon after the youngest graduated, Margaret helped her husband open an auto repair shop, J.T. Foreign Car Service , and worked as the bookkeeper, secretary and parts-runner. The excellence in their work earned them a reputation of fairness and honesty by satisfied customers.

One of the fondest memories her daughter and cousins recall, was that of summer time when her mother would bring out a large enamel bowl filled with refreshing watermelon wedges for them and neighborhood children to enjoy in the backyard. There are many other wonderful stories being remembered by friends and family that honor her life with gratitude. Margaret will be greatly missed and always remembered.
