Marcia Lee Bachle January 25, 1937- December 1, 2023 Marcia Lee (Carter) Bachle passed away on Friday, December 1, at the age of 86 years old. The family is comforted in knowing that she has been reunited with her beloved husband, Charles, in heaven. "Mar" (as she was lovingly known) lived a long and happy life dedicated to her family, students, hobbies, and many life-long interests. She loved listening to classical music as well as The Beatles. Mar enjoyed gardening, reading books (classic literature and mystery novels) and was really fond of organic French roast coffee. She was also very interested and knowledgeable about organic foods, herbs, and holistic/natural medicines. For many years, Mar bred and showed Dalmatians and later Border Collies when she and Charles "Chile" maintained a small herd of St. Croix sheep on their little farm. Their farm was named "Little Brook Farm" where they grew peaches, apples, and vegetables. They would open up their orchard to the community for a "pick your own" every summer. Marcia knew since she was a young girl that she would be a school teacher. After her three children were all school-aged, she taught in both the North East and the East Central Independent School Districts. Marcia taught multiple grades at West Avenue and Harmony Hills elementary schools. Towards the end of her teaching career, she taught reading classes at Oak Crest Junior High School. She was also very involved with their Gifted and Talented Program. After Marcia retired from teaching, she volunteered her time to read to children in elementary schools. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bachle.

She is survived by her children Karen (Steve) Hoermann, Gary (Robin) Bachle, and Bert (Mary Anne) Bachle. She leaves behind grandchildren Mike (Angie) Hoermann, Jason (Sharon) Hoermann, Elizabeth (John) Lenz, Kate (Tony) Hresko, and Addie (Austin) Wilson. Marcia had 5 great-grandchildren: Michael, Jordan, Gabrielle, Zach, and Charlie. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Bachle, of Frisco, Texas. Marcia loved her family. She was, and will continue to be, influential in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed but leaves us with many wonderful memories.
