Mr. Manuel P. Montez age 68 passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015.  Manuel was born in Carrizo Springs but lived most of his life in San Antonio where he had a successful law practice.  Manuel lived his life in service of others, providing counsel and friendship to many.  He loved to be surrounded by family and friends, spoiling them with his undivided attention, humor, intelligence and his legendary bbq.

He is survived and will be missed greatly by his wife of 49 years, Jovita; his son, Ricardo; his daughter, Lisa; his daughter, Xochil Arellano; his son-in-law, Abel Arellano; his grandchildren, Max, Diego, Sierra and Alex; his brother, Raul, and his sisters, Beatrice Almendarez, Hortencia Jones, and Daisy Rocha.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Montez; his mother, Manuela Gonzalez; his brothers, Joe Montez, Arturo Montez, and Alfredo Gonzalez.

FUNERAL SERVICES

The family will receive friends Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Road. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
