Mrs. Madeline H. Pell, age 83, of San Antonio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Madeline graduated from Nile C. Kinnick High School in Japan in 1963. She found joy in the simple things in life and especially enjoyed shopping, gardening, and keeping everything neat and tidy.

Madeline had a loving and caring heart, which extended to her beloved cat, Ms. Kitty. She house-trained Ms. Kitty and lovingly cared for her as her own. The two shared a special bond, and Ms. Kitty remained faithfully by her side until the end.

Madeline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor H. Pell.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Cindy Pell Naranjo and husband Joe, Cheryl Pell and Belinda Castaneda; her grandsons, Zachary Ryan Fernandez, Aaron Naranjo, Nicholas Naranjo, and Adam Naranjo; her great-granddaughter, Kira Fernandez; her siblings, Diana Jamison, Susan Cerda, and Roland Hernandez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones.

Madeline will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the joy she found in her home and garden, and the special ways she cared for those around her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. at Angelus Chapel.

Madeline will be laid to rest privately at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
