Mrs. Lucy Lopez age 83 of San Antonio was called home and to everlasting peace on Monday, February 22, 2016. Lucy was predeceased by her parents, husband, son and three brothers, Isidro, Pete and Julian Ramos. She is survived by her sisters, Felicitas Garcia, Mary Ramos (Javier), Helen Cote (Philip), Antonia Villarreal; brothers, Serapio Ramos (Betty), and Charles Ramos (Mary Alice). She is also survived by two grandsons, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog "Patches".

Lucy had a notable career with the City of San Antonio. She took great pride in her role of helping the elderly. She was highly respected as a community advocate for the less fortunate. She was involved with church festivals, sporting, and scouting events. She was a devoted member of the Altar Society.

She thoroughly enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire, Rhode Island, California, Las Vegas, Maine and her many trips to Boston to visit family. She was also an avid football fan and her knowledge of statistics of all the NFL football players was incredible. Throughout her life she was active in the Democratic Party and her voting rights were very important to her. She will be remembered for her generosity and caring personality. She was fun loving and will be sadly missed by her entire family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Blue Angel's Personal Care Home for all their attention and care given to Lucy while she was in their care.

MEMORIAL SERVICES

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 4th at 9:00 AM at The Angelus Chapel.

Graveside Services will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:45 A.M.
