Lucia Ofelia Torres Villagran peacefully passed away at her home as she wished, at the age of 95 on October 9, 2021.  Ofelia was born in San Antonio on June 6, 1926, to Guadalupe Laborde and Juan Torres, and was the third of 4 daughters.

She worked for many years as an accomplished seamstress, and was always busy after she retired crocheting or sewing for her home, or for family and neighbors.  She recently celebrated her 95 ^th Birthday party with her sister and family from Leon, Mexico, and niece Helen and Harvey from Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Adan Villagran, and her younger son Ralph.  She is survived by her son Gabriel Villagran, sister Lydia 'Pita' Portillo de Gonzalez, and her dear pets Bernie and Babe.  She also leaves 4 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

A mass will be celebrated in her memory on Friday, November 19, at 10:00 a.m. at

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church

617 S. Santa Rosa Avenue, downtown San Antonio, where she was married.

A private family interment will be in the future at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery,

alongside her husband, a decorated veteran of World War II.

There will be no funeral services at the funeral home, any floral arrangements should

be sent directly to the family or to the church.
