We welcome you to join us in
celebration of the life of
Leonard G. Guardiola
Leonard G. Guardiola joined his loving wife of 59 years,
Janie M. Guardiola, in eternal peace and happiness on February 27, 2018 at the age of 91. Born in San Antonio on July 17, 1926, he served as a
WWII Veteran, and was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.
Leonard was seen as the voice of reason to many, and often found his joy in the happiness of others. He was well known for his rosy cheeks, big smile, and warm endearing nature.
He humbly served the San Antonio community as an entrepreneur at
Model Mill and Fixtures as a cabinet maker for over 40 years.
He later played a vital role in the day to day operations of the
family-owned restaurant Skippers Galley, but perhaps his proudest role
was that of a family man.
He is survived by his two daughters:
Anita M. Guardiola, Norma G. Jones (Garry);
grandchildren: Adriana Doda (Rickie), Travis Jones (Elizabeth),
Analisa Jimenez, Abby Jones, Emily Jones and Nathan Jones;
great-grandson: Rickie Doda III; brother: Ignacio G. Guardiola.
We are very thankful for the loving care and assistance provided by
Leticia's Unique Care Home (Leticia Robledo and Staff) as well as
the many medical and support personnel of Seasons Hospice.
