Obituary

Laura Ann Cuellar Pena, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, godmother, and friend entered eternal rest on January 18, 2023. She was born on August 10, 1955. She was 67.

Laura graduated from Incarnate Word High School in 1973. She then attended Our Lady of the Lake University; she pursued a degree in Fine Arts. She stayed in touch with the art and film community of San Antonio. She had a love for art and loved designing her own handbags and birthday cards that she would give to loved ones. She was creative in so many ways.

Laura's favorite country artist was none other than George Strait, a troubadour of country music. Laura was a troubadour herself. She was known as the family historian of facts and good times. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and could tell many of the family stories and had so much knowledge of her family tree. She was also the family caregiver she would attend to the elders of the family, especially her grandmother Leonor "Manane". She learned many of the family secrets and facts from always being around her family and trying to stay in touch with everyone. She never hesitated to call you on your birthday, wedding anniversary, or anniversary of a beloved family member's death. She was known by all the family and was the glue that would combine everyone together with tears, with laughter and with love.

She was preceded in death by her paternal Grandparents Antonio Nieves and Juana Cuellar and maternal Grandparents Augustin and Leonor Espinosa Segura; Parents Jose Humberto and Maria Consuelo Cuellar; sisters Irma Eduvijes Walden Istre and Blanca Rosa Valdillez.

She is survived by her husband Richard Delgado Pena; siblings Jose Humberto Cuellar Jr "Chats", Maria Azalia Mooney "Sally", Miguel Angel Cuellar "Mike"; son Octavio Miguel and daughter-in law Nicole Mauger Cuellar; grandchildren Samantha Nicole Cuellar, and Selena Cecilia Cuellar; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, and loved ones.

Laura was very caring, friendly, and loving. She will be missed by so many as she was loved by so many.
