Mrs. Juliana "Lana" Verstuyft passed away peacefully at her home in Von Ormy, Texas on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the age of 96. She was born in San Antonio on July 6, 1919 to Belgian immigrant farmers, Alfonse and Marie Dauwe and was co-founder of Verstuyft Farms. Her greatest joys were her family and visiting with customers at the farm stand.

Juliana was preceded in death by her husband, Henry D. Verstuyft. She is survived by her sons: Fred and wife Nancy, Tom and wife Betty, Jim and wife Julie; daughter, Carol Jones and husband Bob; 11 grandchildren: Rick Verstuyft, Gina and Justin Davis, Randy Verstuyft, Jamie and Mike Pontillo, Jordan and Katrina Verstuyft, Matthew and Laura Verstuyft, Morgan and Travis Verstuyft, Trent Jones, Alex and Cody Johnson; 8 great-grandchildren.
