Juanita C. Martinez, born on January 27, 1934, in Uvalde, Texas, peacefully passed away on August 4, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by love. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Martinez, and her husband, Raul Martinez. She is survived by her son, David Martinez; her daughter, JoAnn Herring, and spouse, Benny Soto; her adopted son, Jesse Moncivias, and his family; her grandson, Matthew Herring, and spouse, Amanda Herring; her granddaughter, Analisa Villarreal; her four cherished great-grandchildren; her brother, Ismael Costilla; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family was always her greatest priority. A talented seamstress, Juanita took pride in her work. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, making handmade crafts, listening to Tejano music, and visiting family in her hometown of Uvalde. Juanita enjoyed attending the District 5 Senior Center, where she made many friends and valued the sense of community.

Juanita's kindness, strength, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
