Juan Jose Segovia's Obituary
Mr. Juan Jose Segovia was born in Cotulla, Texas on July 21, 1936 and died on October 6, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas, at his home with his family surrounding him. He graduated from San Antonio College and St. Mary's University in San Antonio. Sonny, as he was known by friends and family, was a supportive and loving Aggie dad.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Segunda Lopez and his grandmother, Tomasa Lopez. Juan is survived by his wife, Maria A. Segovia; son, Joseph Anthony Segovia; daughter, Mary Helen Segovia Sanchez (David); sister, Susana S. Aguilar; brothers, George Roger Walling (Sharon) and Jesus "Guero" Segovia; and 2 grandchildren, Amanda Marissa Flores (Omar) and David Nicholas Sanchez.
Special thank you to Generations Hospice and its staff as well as Cardinal Senior Services for its assistance during this journey.
FUNERAL SERVICES
Visitation will begin on Friday, October 13, at 5:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM at The Angelus Chapel.
Funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, October 14, at 8:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the church.
MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's University or a charity of choice.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Segunda Lopez and his grandmother, Tomasa Lopez. Juan is survived by his wife, Maria A.
