Jose Julian Villanueva 70, music lover, traveler and beloved husband, father and grandfather peacefully passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sylvia Villanueva, his daughter Veronica Ruiz and his 3 grandsons: Eddie Ruiz, Alex Ruiz and Eric Ruiz and a host of brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jose Served in the U.S. Army for four years where he then started working for the U.S. Post Office. Jose worked in the Post Office for years until he retired as a Postmaster and thus began his phase into retirement.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Masons where he participated in multiple parades and gatherings for the groups. He loved being around his family and most of all traveling.

One of his favorite places was Colorado as he also loved the outdoors and the Rocky Mountains.

As a man who couldn't sit still, he loved to do work around the house and keep up with his amazing pool for everyone to visit.  Although his personality was strong and very blunt, he also had a heart of gold and never turned his family away when they needed him the most.  As the anchor to our family Jose will truly be missed.  Although he has left us in this life, may we see him again in the afterlife.

No procession to the church / capacity: 100 persons

Due to limited capacity at the cemetery, burial services will be held privately.
