On Monday December 19, 2022, John "Juan" Torres, our beloved brother passed away at the age of 59. He was a man of strong faith in God and his son Jesus and it gives us great comfort that he has entered the kingdom of God.

Juan was born April 3, 1963 along with his twin sister Linda in San Antonio, TX.  He attended and graduated from the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas. He loved his childhood friends, which he maintained lifelong friendships.  He loved being with his family and eating good food, especially pizza!  He was an avid reader, and enjoyed many hobbies and collected memorabilia.

Juan is survived by his parents Rachel A. Pawelek and Aciano Valenzuela Torres and his children; sisters, Lisa and Linda Torres; brother, Jacob Pawelek; nephew, Jason Torres; nieces, Jacquelyn Rodriguez and Elizabeth Torres; beloved friend, Edward Garza; his beloved aunts; Lupe Torres, Janie Charles, Mae Zapata and many other family members.

You will be forever in our hearts, until we meet again brother.

Celebration of Life will be held at Angelus Funeral Home, 1119 N. St. Mary's, San Antonio, Texas, 78215 on Thursday, December 29, 2022.  The visitation will be from 9:00 am– 11:00 am and the celebration of life services will begin at 11:00am to 12:00pm
