John Henry Ohlrich truly had a life well lived. He was a farm boy from North Dakota who joined the service in 1944 and became a pilot at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, where he met the love of his life Eddy Anne Riley. He was shot down in Korea but made it home to his wife and boys, and proceeded to have 8 more kids for a total of 10!
Dad could sew a dress, fly an airplane, fix a bike or make a table - whatever you needed. He was an avid reader and a true man of God. He was the perfect example of all that was good in this world to everyone who knew him. Most of all, he was devoted to his beloved wife and he was never quite whole without her these past 8 years. The world is a better place for having Dad ("Mr. Jack") - and we will all miss him, especially the twinkle in his eye and smile on his face!
He is survived by his 10 children: John (Kum), Michael (Donna), Mary Nell (Mike), Robert (Janet), Catherine (Larry), Thomas (Jeannie), Teresa, David, Jeannie and Anne; 31 grand-children and 21 great-grandchildren. He was Dad and Grandpa to so many more.
