John Christopher Lutz, 61, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on May 22, 2014 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his son, Brian Lutz and his wife LeeAnne, and grandsons, Euan and Teagan. He is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer Tracy and her husband Buster, and grandson Preston. He is also survived by his parents Clayton John and Mary Phyllis Lutz, and his sisters Suzanne Lutz Benavides, Aimee and Ernest Bromley, Madeleine Lutz and husband Gordon Lyman, Adrienne and Don Bosse, Monique and Victor Castano, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Chris was a Master Pipe Fitter who worked in the oil industry for over 40 years. His work ethic and skill were well known and appreciated by both his co-workers and employers. He was a good friend, and always available to offer support to anyone who needed help. He loved the outdoors, and spent many happy hours fishing, hunting, and gardening. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 27th at 10 a.m. at the Angelus Funeral Home, 1119 N. St. Mary's St., San Antonio, TX 78215. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club.
