John L. Bossi, III passed on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the age of 79.

John graduated from Little Flower Catholic School, Jefferson High School and completed a Master's Degree at Stephen F. Austin University. In his career in education he served in many functions and was ultimately appointed principal of Southside High School.  He dedicated his home life to the care of his parents.

He is survived by his cousins Louis J. Sanchez and Josephine (Jay) Sanchez.  He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Bossi, Jr. and his mother, Josephine M. Bossi; grandparents John L. Bossi, Sr. and Maddalenna Pozzi Bossi; uncle, Rev. Louis J. Bossi, C. M. F.; and aunts, Emma B. Sanchez and Josephine A. Bossi.

We thank the staff of Patriot Heights Nursing Center where he resided for the past 12 years.  We also thank VITAS Hospice for their kind and loving care.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 5 ^th at San Francesco di Paola Catholic Church.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 A.M.  Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 A.M.  Interment will follow in San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery # 2.
