Jim Robles III, 73, peacefully joined the Lord January 2022, with the eternal love of his life, Linda, by his side.
Jim was born June 1948, in San Antonio, Texas and is proceeded in death by his father, Jim Robles Jr., his mother, Marina Guerrero Robles and brother, Samuel Robles.
Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Martinez Robles, son, Jim Robles IV (Krystal), twin daughters, Janine J. Rodriguez (Ted) and Jeannette Y. Robles (David), Granddaughters, Alexandra Martinez, Jadyn Rodriguez, Ahriana Robles, brother, Larry Robles, numerous loving family members and lifelong friends.
Jim was hardworking, even at a young age. His first job was as a ride attendant at Playland Park while still in middle school. He later went on to work at Cavender Oldsmobile, as a redcap, delivering cars. After graduating from high school, he did his patriotic duty and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as a Communication Specialist during the Vietnam War. Upon his return from the war, he worked for his father-in-law's construction company, as a carpenter's apprentice. He would later use these skills at Joske's Department Store where he created window displays and put together the Christmas Fantasy Land. His designs were seen and admired by many.
As his family grew so did the need for stability. Always striving to make a better life for his family, he began an internship at Kelly AFB as an Aircraft Engine Machinist. After retiring with over 20 years of Civil Service, he was able to continue with his greatest job of all, being the World's Greatest Husband, Dad and Grandpa.
We carry with us countless wonderful memories of him sitting at his turntable, playing 45 after 45, singing along with each one and never playing the same one twice. His gusto for life and love of music will live on through us and we thank him for all those Saturday morning Rock-n-Roll Revivals and Saturday night poker games.
