Our loving mother, Jessie Puente, was called home to be with God and her late husband, Prudencio, on June 2, 2024.

Jessie had a wonderful life filled with the love of family and friends.  During her career she devoted over 30-years to bringing families together through her work at Bexar County Agriculture and Extension Services and Texas Child Protective Services.

She was a great cook and looked forward to Sunday family dinners and gatherings.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed watching Brit Box, and loved a good murder mystery movie, musicals and plays.  She took joy in spending time outdoors with her pets and enjoyed weekly card game night with neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Aguilar and Lilly Guerrero, and sister Imelda Neis.  She is survived by her three daughters, Yvette (Gilbert), Laurie (Everett), and Leticia; granddaughters, Jessica and Kayla; great grandson, Thomas; brothers, Rene and Rudy (Ruth); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She had a passion for creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those who knew her.  Jessie will be dearly missed and her witty, fun-loving spirit will always be remembered.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, June 13th at 6:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at the Angelus Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, June 14th at 11:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery # 3.
