Jesse Tober, Jr. was known for his vigor, sense of humor, not holding back his opinion, a knack for telling it like it is and for being the life of the party. He loved to tell stories from "the good ol' days" in the midst of enjoying a glass of aged Glenlivet Scotch Whiskey all while a Vicente Fernandez or Frank Sinatra record played in the background. A good mixture of class and acumen he was a keen business man who always told you the truth even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear and had a passion for giving back to the community. With that said he will be dearly missed. A John Wayne or Clint Eastwood movie, a delectable glass of Glenlivet Scotch Whiskey, a nice cold Michelob Ultra, Oldies, Tejano and just having the time of your life will keep his spirit and legacy strong.
Jesse was born in Macdona, TX to Jesse and Amelia Tober on December 16, 1944. He went to school at Lanier High School. He married Herlinda Tober on December 6, 1970 in San Antonio, TX. He worked as an entrepreneur, establishing Tober's Liquor in 1969. He also owned multiple businesses while serving the community for over 40 years and was involved in the Sacred Heart Alumni Group.
Jesse was preceded in death by Amelia Tober, Jesse Tober and Joe L. Tober. He is survived by his wife Herlinda Tober, his children Marcus Tober, Jon Tober, Jessica Tober, his grandchildren Desiree Tober, Jon Anthony Tober, Kayla Tober, Lauren Tober and Bryce Tober; his sisters Frances Castilleja (Guadalupe) and Eva Moreno (Ramon) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
