James Robert Mason passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the age of 100. Dad was born in New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII in France and Germany. After the war he taught High School in Bloomfield, NJ. He then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He ran one of the first television cameras at that time. He returned to his school in New Jersey until he retired. He then took a position at Odessa Junior College as an electronics instructor. Upon retiring from that position he and my mother traveled in an RV eventually living in the San Antonio area. They have been living in The Village at Incarnate word for many years.
James is survived by his wife of 76 years, Helen Mary Mason; son, John Mason; daughter, Marie Mason Hrncir and her husband Randall Hrncir.
The family must regretfully limit attendance at the funeral services to immediate family due to current health and safety concerns. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
