James Louis LaPrade, Jr., age 73, was called home to be with our Lord in Heaven on February 23, 2015. He was born on March 14, 1941 in Ft. Benning, Georgia to the late Mary Esther Pool and James Louis LaPrade, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Felicja Laurel and sister, Carolyn Kessler. Jim is survived by brother, Michael LaPrade; children: Jeannine Salas and son-in-law, Jaime Salas; Michelle LaPrade, and James Louis LaPrade, III; 6 grandchildren: Eddie Paniagua and wife, Sara, Timothy Salas, Thomas Salas and wife, Megan, Nicole Morfin, Joseph Cadena and wife, Christine and Amanda Cadena; 4 great-grandchildren: Abigail Richardson, Jon Austyn Salas, Gabrielle Richardson and Aribella Gonzales. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Brigid's Catholic Church, 6907 Kitchener St. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association of San Antonio.
