Jackson Jude "Jacky" Redding Smith peacefully left this world on Friday, February 12, 2021, surrounded by his family at the age of 6 years old.

His beautiful little spirit transitioned after a nearly 7 year battle with Wilm's Tumor. He was so very brave for so long and was an inspiration to so many people that followed Jackson's Journey. He will always be remembered as the sweetest little boy who adored his two big sisters and was always thoughtful of his mother, with whom he was attached at the hip.  He loved and looked up to his father whose strong, caring energy could easily bring Jackson calm in any kind of storm. Jacky was a highly intelligent and remarkably driven child with an amazing will to survive. He constantly dreamed of the days when he'd be all grown up and able to finally experience the things that intrigued him. He had an intense passion for gaming and game theories and was a sponge for information about his many different interests such as Disney/Pixar movies, Super Mario Bros., FNAF, SpongeBob, as well an infatuation with his favorite snack food "chips and sauce" (salsa). He was determined among other things, to learn and teach about all kinds of peppers and become a professional vlogger to document his findings. His sister Sofie recalls his affectionate nature and his immense love for her. She will always remember each little moment and "love you" that they shared between just the two of them.

Jackson was preceded in death by his Grandfather William Davis.  He is survived by his parents Kevin Smith and Anne Cortes, his two big sisters Sofie Cortes and Presley Cortes, as well as his cat Atticus.

There is an immeasurable void in this world where you should be, but we are grateful for the time you gave us.  You will be missed every minute of every day and we can't wait to see you again in the Great Beyond.

MEMORIAL SERVICES

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 27 ^th from 12:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel.

Due to limited seating (75), the Celebration of Life service for Jackson will be limited to family members at 2:00 P.M.
