On Thursday, January 25, 2018, God called home one of his beautiful angels, Herlinda "Linda" Jean Tober. One of the most admirable attributes was her ability to love which she distributed amongst every person she met. Linda constantly gave her love away. She taught her children and family that it is very important to love anyway. There are moments in life that are extremely difficult to express love. Although the person giving the love at the moment of the circumstance may be stifled for whatever reason due to unforeseen or casual challenges it's so important to at least attempt to express as much love as humanly possible. When a person is reunited with the Lord, they will be replenished for everything that was given. We can only keep the faith and believe that the sacrifices, gifts, love and spiritual gifts in the many shapes and forms that they may come in will be replenished in a form of wealth that we have never experienced and a love that we can't even comprehend. Romans 5:3-5 states "We rejoice in our sufferings, because suffering produces perseverance; perseverance character; and character hope. And hope does not disappoint us."
Herlinda J. Tober was born in San Antonio, Texas to Gil Coronado and Maria Weaver on July 20, 1946. Herlinda Tober married Jesse Tober, Jr. on December 6, 1970 in San Antonio, TX. She helped her husband, Jesse Tober, Jr., establish Tober's Liquor in 1969. She enjoyed contributing to the community through her membership to the Sacred Heart Alumni Group with her husband Jesse Tober, Jr. They helped with fundraisers and events that supported the church and their families. She also loved cooking, listening to music, networking, and being very productive at home and at work to ensure her family, coworkers and friends were well taken care of.
Herlinda was preceded in death by her father, Gil Coronado Sr., mother, Maria Weaver Coronado Rodriguez, stepfather, Sgt. Rufino Rodriguez, sister, Gloria Coronado Bermudez, and husband, Jesse Tober, Jr.
She is survived by her children: Marcus Tober and wife Terica, Jon Tober and wife Celeste, Jessica Tober; her grandchildren: Desiree Tober, Jon Anthony Tober, Kayla Tober, Lauren Tober and Bryce Tober; her sisters Lucille "Bolie" and husband David Garcia, Inez "Neche" and husband Refugio Ojeda, Yolanda Coronado Valdez, Peggy and husband Ernest Gutierrez, Carmen Rodriguez, and Marion Lopez and husband Manuel; brothers: Ret. Colonel Gil Coronado and wife Helen, and Dr. Victor Rodriguez and wife Gina, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
