Henry (Kike) C. Gonzales, Jr., 72 of San Antonio went to meet his Savior Jesus Christ on October 28 ^th .  The son of Enrique and Santos Gonzales, he was brother to Olivia, Ruben (both deceased) and Ramiro.  He was beloved husband of Matilda Gonzales, father to Christina, Michael and Gabriel Gonzales (from former marriage to Julia McColley Smith) and step-father to Marian Taylor, Juan Munguia and Venancia Martinez.  He was grandfather to Mia, DezRae, Gabriella, Mason, Paulie and Morgan.

He served as Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, was a plumber by trade, earned his associates degree at St. Phillips College, where he later taught Latin American students the trade.  He enjoyed his family, billiards, fishing and dancing to Tejano.    He was an avid supporter of Veteran's rights and a lifetime member of VFW Post 76.  Henry saved three people's lives, his brother, a soldier, and a stranger.  His love was big, and you always felt like a "Somebody" after being with him.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 4:00 PM at the Angelus Chapel with the Rosary to be recited at 5:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, Nov. 22, at 9:15 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
