Helen Mary Mason, born December 30, 1919 passed away on November 3, 2021.  Helen would have been 102 in December, a long life for a very kind and loving person. Her parents came to the United States from Ireland. She attended Immaculate Conception School in Montclair, NJ for grades 1-3 and then Sacred Heart School in Bloomfield, NJ for grades 4-8.  She continued her secondary education also at Sacred Heart School with emphasis on business skills.

She was married to James R. Mason on May 6, 1944. She loved to cook and travel. In her later years they traveled around the country in an RV.  They also went to Europe and visited many interesting places. They enjoyed Ireland a lot. They also visited their son while he was stationed
in Korea. She spent the last 14 years of her life at the Village of the Incarnate Word where she had many friends, both residents and staff.

James and Helen were married for 76 years before his death on August 11, 2020 and are now reunited in Heaven.  May they rest in peace.

FUNERAL SERVICES

As a testament to their love for each other, their children will have combined funeral services as follows:

Rosary will be recited in The Angelus Chapel at 9:00 A.M. immediately

followed by a Funeral Service celebrating the lives of James and Helen.

Graveside Service and Interment at 11:00 A.M. in

Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

*There will not be a procession to the cemetery, all attending should meet directly at Shelter #4.
