Gustavo Jesus Macharro, age 65, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston.

He was born September 1 ^st , 1953, in San Antonio to Jesus and Julia Machorro. He graduated from Holmes High School in 1972, where he met his future wife. He married his high school sweetheart Linda Suarez Macharro in 1975, and have been married for 43 years. They have 3 kids together and 7 grandchildren with one on the way.

Gus had a loving passion for his family, especially his grandchildren, and his work. He worked as a truck driver for UPS for 35 years and was a deputy for the Bexar County Sheriff's Department for 16 years. He was always BBQing and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His smile and laugh will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

Gustavo was preceded in death by his parents: Jesus and Julia Machorro; brother, Ignacio Quiroz. He is survived by his wife, Linda S. Macharro; children: Gustavo E. Macharro (Terri Kurz), Nicole M. Gomez (Alex), Eileen M. Garcia (Jeremy); sisters: Letty Rodriguez (Carlos), Patsy Bruton (Bobby); sister in law, Pauline Quiroz; grandchildren: Gabriella, Aviana, Alexis, Gavin, Jason, Jensen, Elena Jo; numerous nieces and nephews.


FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin Thursday, November 29 at 5:00 pm in The Angelus Chapel
with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.

Funeral procession will depart The Angelus Chapel Friday, November 30 at 9:30 am
for 10:00 am Mass to be offered at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at
San Fernando Archdicecsan Cemetery No.2
