Gus Gonzales passed away August 5, at the age of 88. He is survived by his brother Mauricio Gonzales and his beloved daughter, Magdalena Gonzales.  His wife of 29 years, Elia, predeceased him in 1992 as well as brothers, Raul, Jose and sister Angelina.

His light-hearted personality warmed all those he met.   His joyous life was filled with many accomplishments and honors. He was an avid hunter and won many marksmanship awards and he was Rosary Club member.  A veteran of the Korean War, he worked as an aircraft quality control inspector at Kelly A.F.B after his military service.

A Rosary at The Angelus Funeral Home will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 7 pm and a Chapel service at The Angelus on Wednesday at 10 am followed by his interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
