Guadalupe (Lupe) Leija Diaz, born July 19, 1947, went to rest on August 13, 2019 at the age of 72. She was born and raised in Sonora, Texas and moved to San Antonio where she retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, baking, crocheting and spending time with family and friends. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and looked forward to Football Season. Above all she cherished her family, and loved Lisa and granddaughters Angelica and Isabella immensely.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hilario and Maria Leija, and sister Diamantina Elizondo.  She is survived by her daughters; Evelyn M. Hernandez (Jason), and Lisa Ann Diaz; sisters: Irma P. Leija, Nancy S. Mejia; brothers: Hilario Leija Jr., Fred Leija; her 2 granddaughters Angelica Nicole Hernandez and Isabella Renee Hernandez, and many nieces and nephews.
