Mr. Gilbert R. Perez age 74 of San Antonio passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018.  Mr. Perez was a veteran of the U.S. Army, owned and operated Perez Gulf Station for many years and retired from VIA Metropolitan Transit.  He loved to help others and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.  An active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, he was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ovidio and Susana Perez and his brothers: Porfirio and Reynaldo Perez.  He is survived by his wife of many wonderful years, Virginia Perez; children: Ramiro Perez (Denise), Elizabeth Perez, Albert Perez, Gilbert Perez II (Analisa), Dr. Gabriel Perez, and Jesus Perez (Christina); sisters: Olga, Irma, Tillie, Chela, Cleo, Irene, and Carrie; brother, Wally; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin Sunday, January 6 ^th at 6:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M.  Funeral Mass will be offered Monday, January 7 ^th at 11:30 A.M. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
