Gilbert R. Perez age 91 of San Antonio died on May 12, 2017. Gilbert was a WWII veteran, having served in the US Navy.  He was also a member of many organizations including Our Lady of Guadalupe Ushers, Holy Name Society, Cursillistas, Los Pastores, Our Lady of Guadalupe Choir Director, and volunteered at the church for 50 years.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his wife, Romualda Perez.  He is survived by his children, Casey Covarrubia (Frank), Gilbert Perez, Jr. (Judy), Patricia Perez, Alejandro Perez (Cathy), and Theresa Acosta (Marcelino, III); 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great- grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 18, at 6:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso Street.

Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, May 19, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No. 2 with military honors.
