Gilbert Alaniz went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2024 at the age of 83. Gilbert was born November 10, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1959 and joined the US Army following high school.  Gilbert was a school bus driver and retired from the Northside Independent School District.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his father, Gilberto Alaniz and his mother, Adela Alaniz.  He is survived by his sister, Leticia Lopez; niece, Monica Mestemaker, and great-nephew, Michael Mestemaker.
