Gary Barbatto was born on March 25, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas. He passed away, surrounded by his children, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Aline Barbatto, and his two brothers Carl and Anthony.

He dedicated his career to the family business Athletic Sewing Center until his retirement in 2017. He had a passion for baseball and bowling, and cherished spending football Sundays with friends and family. He especially loved playing cards and dominoes with his kids.

Gary is survived by his brother John Barbatto and wife Cathy; his children Shannon Barbatto-Hosek and husband Steven, Klarissa Barbatto, and Jeremy Barbatto and wife Sarah; stepsons, Hector and Jason Garza; grandsons Dax and Tyler Barbatto; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and mother of his children, Melba Barbatto.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 12 at The Angelus Chapel from 5:00-7:00pm followed by the praying of the Rosary. The Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, February 13th at 10:00am at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
