Mr. Fred M. Estrada age 87 of San Antonio died Monday, March 31, 2014. Fred was in the US Army and fought during WWII. He then worked in civil service at Fort Sam Houston and retired after 28 years. In the 1960's, Fred was a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Vincent de Paul, and St. Stephen's Men's Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hortense R. Estrada; children: Dora Estela Estrada, Freddy Estrada, Jr., Rosemary Valdez and Ernest R. Estrada; sisters; Mary Carvajal and Stella Gaona; and son in law, Fernando G. Fonseca. He is survived by his children: Sylvia E. Fonseca, Steven M. Estrada and wife Laura, Diane Palacio and husband Bruno; brother, Jesse Estrada and wife Susie; son in law, Ruben Valdez; daughter in law, Maria Estrada;15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin Sunday at 5:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 9:00 A.M. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
