Frank T. Hernandez, Sr.'s Obituary
Frank T. Hernandez, Sr. of San Antonio, went to be with the Lord, on May 3, 2016, at the age of 90. He was born on December 24, 1925 to Ruperto and Carmen Hernandez. Frank was proud to have served his country during World War II in the Philippines. He retired from Kelly Air Force Base in December of 1980.
He was preceded in death by 2 of his children, Sandra Ann Alderete and Robert Perez. He is survived by his adoring wife of 67 years, Helen O. Hernandez and his children, Frank Jr. (Olga), Rupert (Grace), Diane Palomo, (John), Gerard and Josephine Bonner (Sam). Mr. Hernandez is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Aurora Hernandez, Hortencia Guerrero (Victor), Gilberto Hernandez (Rosa), Juan Hernandez (Brenda), Mary Delgado (Manuel) and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 10th at 6:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will begin again on Wednesday, May 11th at 8:45 A.M. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 346 Sutton Dr., with a Funeral Mass to be offered at 9:30 A.M. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
