God called our dear Frances to her heavenly reward on January 17, 2021 at the age of 96.  She was born on September 28, 1924, in San Antonio, Texas to Louis and Alma Paletta.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Vito Sr., brother Frank "Sonny" Paletta, sister-in-law Gloria Guerra, and brother-in-law Carl Ponzio.  She is survived by her sons, Alex and wife Diane, Vito Jr. and Richard Branch; grandson Nicholas Ponzio and wife Megan, and great grandsons, James, Teddy and Henry Ponzio; sisters-in-law Rita Ponzio and Rosemary Paletta; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

A life-long resident of San Antonio, she was a charter member of the Christopher Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, past president of the San Francesco di Paola Altar and Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the Order of the Alhambra, and the Affiliates of Central Catholic High School.

Frances was a tireless worker for these causes, and you could always find her rolling meatballs for the fundraising spaghetti dinners at the church.  Her greatest joy in life was her family.  Her favorite saying was "What do you want to eat!"  Nothing pleased her more than preparing a delicious meal for family and friends.

She was a compassionate, selfless woman, always ready to help whenever she was needed.  She will be greatly missed, but the family is thankful that she is at peace, and finally united with the love of her life Vito Sr.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Due to Corona Virus restrictions, funeral services will be private,

with a memorial celebration planned for a future date.

Rick Guerra, Carl Ponzio, Jr., Jim Snyder, Dan Titterle.
