Fr. Gilbert A. Pansza passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 69.  Born and raised in San Antonio, Fr. Gilbert's lifelong dream was to join the priesthood.  After a successful twenty-year career with the Army & Air Force Exchange Services, Fr. Gilbert committed his life to God and pursued his dream of serving others by attending the University of the Incarnate Word where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion.  Fr. Gilbert then attended the Oblate School of Theology where he earned his Master of Divinity and Priestly Certification in 2000 and followed this with a Master of Arts from Creighton University. Fr. Gilbert served within the Diocese of Fort Worth until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ricardo and Eva Pansza, brother Richard Pansza and is survived by his sister Gloria Maldonado, brother Norbert F. Pansza and beloved nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICES

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 22, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at The Angelus Chapel (Capacity 100).

Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, December 23

beginning at 9:30am at San Fernando Cathedral

*Due to current regulations the family must limit attendance at San Fernando

to family and close friends, 50 persons total.

Burial will be held Wednesday at 12pm at San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
