Born on May 30, 1939 in San Antonio TX, entered into God's kingdom on July 23, 2016 at the age of 77. He is reunited in heaven with his parents Eduvijes and Guadalupe Lares, his brothers Tony, Tino, Valentine, Arturo, and Gilbert Lares.

He is survived by his wife Irene of 57 years and his four children & their spouses: Patti (Eddie), Steven (Peggy), Laura (Andy) and Shelly (April).  His Grandchildren Stephanie, Christopher, Monica, Eddie, Drew, Aaron, Paige, Hilary, Julia, Sofia, Matthew, Re and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister Stella Jimenez and Brother Robert Lares.

At a very young age Fred helped to support his family. He worked at various jobs including 25 years as foreman at The Southwell Company. He owned a rubber stamp company while also managing his daughters Tejano musical career for 33 years. He was the epitome of an Entrepreneur.  He loved all types of music and all animals but especially his dogs "Lil Bit and June Bug".

He was a Beloved and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend to many.

He will be greatly missed and FOREVER in our Hearts

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, at 6:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel.  Funeral Services will conclude Friday evening.
