It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Evangeline T. Fernandez on July 15, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on October 23, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas, was a beloved wife to Mario F. Fernandez, and a loving mother to 6 daughters, grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and an aunt to her nieces and nephews.

After retiring from Marriott, she was passionate about arts and crafts, caring for her dogs and caregiver to her husband and daughter before they passed. She loved to be out and about shopping with her friends and always enjoyed a lunch at Luby's. She never said no to a Whataburger and took delight in one almost every day.

She is survived by her 5 daughters, Joann Arguijo, Jessica Villarreal, Evangeline Rodriguez, Sylvia Gomez and Elizabeth Franco.

Thank you to the entire hospice team with Companion Hospice for enhancing her quality of life in her final years. Thank you to the private homes and staff that took care of her including Angie and Sorin Ilie, and Flavius Radu at her final resting place Alternative Senior Care.
