Eva S. Chavez, entered eternal life August 11, 2018. She was 87. She loved to collect things for herself and share with others. An avid speed reader, her acute memory made her a popular point of reference. In her younger years, she loved to travel and left many pictures to showcase her trips. Her humor, stories and sweet personality made her a joy to be around. She never knew a stranger, and no matter where she went, she'd always run into a familiar face. Eva loved to crochet, knit, cross-stitch, and embroider. An avid cook, she was known for cold salads, baked goods and the best pumpkin bread. She will be sorely missed by all she knew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Chavez Jr.; parents, Nicanor & Refugio (Bautista) Sanchez; brother, Ricardo. Survivors include her brother, Nick Sanchez Jr. (Ana & family); niece Ana Maria Sanchez (Pierre & family).

Visitation will begin Friday, August 17 at 6:00 p.m. at The Angelus Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
