Mr. Eusebio "Chevo" S. Arispe, 92, of San Antonio, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 surrounded by his family. Our dad loved music and passed it on to the family. He enjoyed our sing alongs at family events and had a great voice. Chevo played guitar and piano and also enjoyed fishing in his early years and searching for seashells on the beach.
He served his country in World War II as an Army Tec 5 91st Sig Co. Retired from a lifelong career at Kelly AFB. Chevo was a devout Catholic, and a longtime member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Agnes Church. He also gave his time to the Food Bank and the Soup Kitchen.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Magdalena, son, George and great grandchild, Ellyssa.
He is survived by his children: Mary Ann Gonzales (Arturo), Alice, Sandra (daughter-in-law), Henry (Dina), Steven (Teri), James (Connie), Leo (Shirley), Frank (Stefanie), Paul, Cathy Cantu (Pablo) and Julie Palacios (Jesse); 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
We would like to thank Daniela Butuza and her staff at "A Golden Age Assisted Living" for watching over our dad in his last few months. Also the Christus Santa Rosa E.R. for making his last hours comfortable and putting up for our large family.
