Our Beloved Mother, Esperanza G. Delgado, was called by our Lord on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the age of 95. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Our Mother was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dioncio and Refugia Galindo; her late husband Luis A. Delgado; daughter Maria Muniz; son, Pedro Leal and siblings, one sister and six brothers. She is survived by her children; Ruth Rodriguez; Rosalinda Rodriguez (Baldemar) and Raul Delgado (Jennifer). She was a proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was born February 13, 1928, in Bracken, Texas. She was a loving mother and a super grandmother. She took such pride in raising her children and maintaining her home. She loved plants and enjoyed working in her yard. She enjoyed going to the casinos, dancing, playing loteria, shopping garage sales and watching her favorite cowboy movies.
Everyone was always welcomed in her home. She was an amazing cook and loved to cook for her family and friends. She was in charge of the annual Tamaleras get together at Christmas time. She was a source of comfort when we were troubled. She was a fountain of advice and life's truths when we needed them and always, always a hug and love when we needed it. She loved her family gatherings and seeing us all happy in her home. We will miss our Mother's blessing and the sign of the cross whenever we left her home and it made us feel safe and secure in her faith in the Lord. Our Mother and Grandmother will be deeply missed by everyone but never, ever forgotten.
